BlueNotary is Notary RA's registered Remote Online Notarization platform. Remote Online Notarization is a notarization conducted through a video call using electronic signatures on digital documents.
With Remote Online Notarization, the Notary Public must be located in the State they're commissioned, but the signers can be located anywhere in the world.
Remote Online Notarization is widely accepted by most States, but still relatively new. Folks considering Remote Online Notarization should verify if the institution(s) and/or State receiving their notarized document(s) accept Remote Online Notarization.
what you will need
- A computer, laptop, tablet or cell phone with the ability to participate in an audio and video web call. Each participant will need to have individual access to the virtual meeting, they cannot share one device.
- Your government issued ID, and the ability to take a digital picture and upload it to the authentication system.
- A digital copy of the document we'll be signing - either sent to me for upload, or to upload yourself.
